The Students
Illiteracy crosses all demographic
lines. Our students are of all races, religions, economic
and educational backgrounds.
They range from ages 6 to 80. Some have
learning disabilities. Some missed school a lot. Others
were abused and neglected. Their needs range from beginning
reading to basic life skills, like writing a check, to learning
to speak English.
